I received a Ph.D. in psychology from Arizona State University with a B.A. in psychology from Santa Clara University. After teaching as an adjunct psychology instructor at Grossmont College, San Diego State University, and MiraCosta College, I became a founding faculty member of Cuyamaca College. There I served as Chair of the Behavioral Sciences, coordinated psychology since the college's opening, and pioneered in the areas of online and distance learning.

My courses have included Introductory Psychology, Human Sexuality, Developmental Psychology, Individual Adjustment, Learning, Perception, and Abnormal Psychology. I have taught Native-Americans at the Viejas Reservation in Alpine, CA,and Camp Pendleton Marines at MiraCosta College. At SDSU, besides teaching upper and lower division courses, I was an interim director of graduate teaching assistants, participated in an experimental interdisciplinary program called "Coordinated Freshman Studies," and taught in the "Honors Psychology" program over many years..

Besides my continued commitment to teaching, I have authored an Instructor's Manual and lecture transparencies for Rod Plotnik's Introduction to Psychology textbook. I was always interested in using new technology and exploring alternative delivery methods (I taught in the Telecourse program for 15 years) and I am now developing interactive, multimedia approaches to teaching (see below). For a sabbatical, I  developed an online teaching resource site for the college (see Online Teaching Resources on the Cuyamaca College site).

I also developed and published six versions of the interactive multimedia project, PowerStudy for Introduction to Psychology, on both CD and DVD.  The project was integrated into many Introductory Psychology courses over its 14-year run. I then designed the online, interactive animation storyboards for the first edition of the Discovery Series edition of the Plotnik/Kouyoumdjian Introductory Psychology textbook. I am currently designing this Web Site which I hope will give interactive multimedia insights into some of the more thought-provoking issues in psychology.

Feel free to email me about this site. Comments and suggestions are always welcome. I will be adding Facebook and Twitter access soon as well as a YouTube channel. This site should grow substantially over the coming months.
